The LX200 is in Tryphon configuration three CCD cameras with three 300mm lens.

The LX200 is the last jewel of our observatory. It arrived at the observatory in 1996. Thanks to its automatic pointing, it has been immediatly used for the CCD pictures. It was it which received at the observatory in May 1997 the first light of the comet Meunier-Dupouy

A focal reducer was added to the telescope in the beginning of 1998. This telescope is very powerfull, it allows us to follow and find minor planets. 2 minor planets were found in 1998. Hundreds of minor planet and comet positions were send to the MPC, Minor Planet Center.
