Dax observatory is one of the most equiped amator observatory in France. Our equipment is mainly composed by:
The numeric station has been created for the INSU (National Institut of Universe Sciences)
in order to determine the better site to build an observatory. The pictures can be obtained
thanks to a contract with France meteo.

In this observatory, a lot of intruments can be used in order to take photosphotographies, CCD pictures, calculate the double stars or just observe the beauty of the sky. Let see some of our instruments:
We still have 2 other mirors: a 310mm and a 500mm. And sooner, the telescopes for these mirors will be built. It is two of our projects.
We have everything to develop black & white photographies. This helps us a lot when TP2415 is used to take photographies.
In 1981, Mr Philippe Dupouy is the first french amator astronomer
which have made a planetarium. More than 1000 hours of work have been
spend to create this planetarium. Hundreds of holes more or less large
in function of the brightness of the star have been drill. The move of
the planets have also been reproduced.
We also have others materials: books, a library, lasers and so on.
